Dinner

A 10-ounce ribeye dinner with a starch, vegetable and dessert served at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. for $25, with $10 from each meal benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association.

Desserts

Even those who do not purchase a dinner will be able to contribute a freewill donation and enjoy desserts and beverages beginning at 5 p.m.

Music

Back by popular demand, the Gloryland Gospel Band will perform on the patio, weather permitting, starting at 6 p.m. The band delivers toe-tapping messages of hope, comfort and celebration.

Reservations

Call The Rosemount at 651-322-4222 by Thursday, June 15, to make reservations for the dinner. Also leading up to and during the event, luminaries to honor loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s will be available for $5.

The Why

The goal is to raise at least $500 to fight a disease The Rosemount Staff is far too familiar with.

“We want to do something to help raise money to find a cure to help slow down the process of the disease because it’s very debilitating,” Chef Shaun Hamel says. “When you see it every day, and see dramatic declines of health and mind, it’s not always easy to walk away with a smile. There are usually tears. This is a way to be passionate about helping those in need.”

“We want to raise awareness so people can educate themselves, learn about it and find a way to slow it down or cure it so people have more time with their loved ones,” says Tina Wollmuth, sales director at The Rosemount.

“They need the support of not just their family and us, but also community support,” Memory Care Activity Coordinator Betsy Benz says. “The more people understand it, the more they can help contribute to the cause.”

Other fundraisers

The Rosemount will host a Sip and Paint at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, with a percentage of the $35 price going to the Alzheimer’s Association. Individuals will be able to enjoy desserts, wine, and other beverages while they paint. Registration is required.

As Leprechaun Days conclude Saturday, July 29, The Rosemount will be serving root beer floats and hotdogs, with freewill donations benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association.
